ZEISS Photography Award 2017 (Win a Trip to London and €15000 in Prizes)
The World Photography Organization in partnership with ZEISS have announced the commencement of the second edition of the ZEISS Photography Award 'Seeing Beyond', with the theme "Meaningful Places". ZEISS started this competition to challenge photographers the world over to " look beyond the ordinary and capture the extraordinary things that exist in the world we live in, by documenting the importance of one or several places that bear significance to each other" .
The winner will be given €12000 worth of ZEISS lenses and €3000 travel expenses to complete a photography project of their choice in whichever location they desire. The pictures taken in the course of this project will be showcased across all World Photography platforms and their social channels. In addition, the winner will also be awarded an all expense paid trip to London to attend the 2017 Sony World Photography Awards ceremony where they will be given their prize.

Photographers are to submit a series of 5-10 pictures in response to his year's brief. The winning series plus some selected entries will be put on exhibition at Somerset House, London from April 21 - May 7, 2017 during the Sony World Photography Awards Exhibitions.
The winner will be interviewed by the editorial team of the World Photography Organization and featured as the lead image of the homepage after the announcement. Runners-Up will get a chance to showcase their pictures on the blog.
Photographers have until the 7th of February 2017 to submit their images.
