The Young entrepreneurs And Students Grants (YESGrant) is designed for Nigerian students, entrepreneurs and individuals between the ages of 18 and 40 and is created to run for five years, in five cycles. The aim of the programme is to create jobs through young entrepreneurs and promote high value research and development which will in turn impact meaningfully and positively on the economy of the country.
The programme is designed to support aspiring and existing entrepreneurs by providing them with a platform to showcase their business concepts, skills and aspirations to established businessmen, investors and mentors around the world.
YESGrant also promises to give tuition fee support to university students and provide a support system that pays for Science and Technology projects for Students in their final year and NYSC members. This financial aid is to assist, motivate and encourage Nigerian students in their pursuit of academic excellence.
The selection process is multi stepped ( Application, Evaluation, Interview, Validation and Disbursement, and Monitoring) and will require thorough screening of individual ideas of the applicants. This screening is to help identify ideas with immense potential for economic development .
