Google Hash Code Challenge 2017

The google hash code challenge is a programming competition organized by google for students and industry professionals across Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Since it is team based, you get to pick your team and programming language while Google picks a real life engineering problem for you and your teammates to solve.

The competition is broken down into two stages:

1. The Online Competition Stage: In this round, you and your team can compete from anywhere in the world using your computer and internet connection. In the bid to bring a bit more excitement into this round, hubs have been organized across various universities and cities where local teams can meet and compete side by side. Here's a list of the hubs.
For more information on the hubs, read here. The online qualification round begins on Thursday 23rd February from 17:30 - 21:30 GMT

2. The Final Stage: Top scoring teams from the online competition stage will get an Invite to Google Paris to compete in the final stage. The participants will be responsible for planning their own travel and accommodation but they will be able to apply for travel grants from Google (between 100 and 500 EUR) to assist in reducing costs. Participants will only receive this grant after the final round takes place.

In the Final Round, the three teams with the highest scores will be awarded cool Google prizes. Every participant will also get a certificate of qualification to the Final Round and a gift bag.

The competition is open to university students and industry professionals that are at least 18 years or older in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The team must consist of at least two and not more than four members. The team composition can not be changed after the commencement of the online competition stage.
Members of any team are free to leave but a team with only one member faces automatic disqualification.
